After cataract surgery and a subsequent Lasik touch-up, my vision is now virtually 20/20.  I can now see a golf ball land on the green from pretty far out.

Dear Dr. Martin,

 

When I first came to see you I was extremely nearsighted and had developed cataracts in both eyes.  Needless to say my vision was quite poor.  I enjoy playing golf, and not being able to see a golf ball in flight was a big downer.  

 

After cataract surgery and a subsequent Lasik touch-up, my vision is now virtually 20/20.  I can now see a golf ball land on the green from pretty far out.  I do still need glasses for reading in certain light situations, but since I am in my fifties, this is to be expected. 

 

Given these results, I would consider my experience to be a huge success.  The surgery was easier than I had imagined and the recovery time was short.
