I've wanted to do something about my eyes; not being able to read or see at a distance without glasses was quite a pain. But I was very leery of the commercials that sounded like a sale for getting an oil-change for my car. Fortunately a friend referred me to Washington Eye. I went for a consultation with Dr. Martin and was immediately impressed with his professionalism and concern for me as a person, not just a paying customer. He thoroughly explained all the procedures that would be involved. After agreeing to go through with it, I underwent a rigorous series of eye tests to accurately measure everything that had to be measured. When the day of the surgery came (three separate procedures in my case), I can't say enough about the incredibly friendly and helpful nature of the surgical staff. They truly wanted to make the procedure as comfortable for me as humanly possible and they definitely succeeded. I received a very detailed step-by-step explanation of everything that would happen, so when Dr. Martin began the procedure there were absolutely no surprises. The follow-up care has been just as thorough and friendly. Dr. Martin has worked tirelessly to ensure that my eyes are as good as they can possibly be, and considering that I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes, he has clearly succeeded. I absolutely would not hesitate to strongly endorse Dr. Martin or the rest of the Washington Eye staff for any eye surgery.
